Air India to connect Delhi to Rajkot from February 23

Air India will connect Delhi to Rajkot from February 23, 2015. The airline plans to deploy its new 70 seater ATR-72-600 on this route. The flight will operate six days a week except on Wednesdays. With the introduction of this flight, Rajkot will get connected directly to Delhi and Mumbai.
Incidentally, Rajkot is famous for its jewellery market, silk embroidery and watch parts, apart from being the largest gold market in India. The flight will meet a long standing demand of the gold and jewellery market and also give a fillip to its industrial sector of bearings, diesel engines, kitchen knives and other cutting appliances.
