Airlines register 24% rise in passengers during November; Vistara records best-ever load factor


Vistara, airline joint venture between the Tata Group and Singapore International Airlines, recorded its best-ever load factors during the month of November, when Indian carrier carried 24.65 per cent more than the same month last year.

While Vistara recorded load factors of 72.2 per cent during the month, which was highest since its inception, the highest load factors was recorded by SpiceJet that flew its planes with 90.25 per cent seats full. 


A data released by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation shows that the Indian carriers carried 7.32 million passengers during the month of November primarily of the back of increased travel during the festive month of November.

In terms of market share, IndiaGo remained the largest carrier by fiying 35.5 per cent of the total passengers during the month followed by the Jet Airways group
