Centre willing to support concrete revival plan of SpiceJet: MoS for Civil Aviation

The Union government is ready to support SpiceJet Ltd. if a concrete revival proposal comes from the airline company, said Dr Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Culture and Tourism and Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Government of India. He was addressing the media here today. The Minister said that the Centre will consider any good proposal from the company in the larger interest of the industry and consumers.

During the meeting between officials of the airline and Ministry of Civil Aviation yesterday, it was decided that SpiceJet be given a week’s time to submit its financial plan, stating how it intends to infuse funds in the carrier.
