The rules if you want to fly post May 25th
After extending the nationwide lockdown till May 31, the Indian government has decided to resume domestic flights from May 25, with a strict operating procedure in place.
In a bid to avoid as much contact as possible, all check-ins will now be web-based, anybody who wants to enter the airport will have to show a confirmed web check in.
The most basic of protection - face masks - will be mandatory across the board, as well as thermal checks at the airport entrance.
Airlines will also be limiting check-in baggage. From May 25, only one bag will be allowed to be checked in.
The government’s COVID-19 tracking app - Aarogya Setu - is mandatory for passengers over 14 years of age, to ensure they are not residents of a designated red zone.
Cabin crew in the flights will be wearing full protective gear, and no airline will serve in flight meals or hand out magazines
