National Aerolympics to begin from Nov 27

A three-day National Aerolympics-2014 organised by Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI), Bengaluru Branch, will begin on Thursday at the HAL Management Academy here. The event focussed on promoting advancements in aeronautics among school children will have participation from students from 24 schools across the country, including five schools from Bengaluru.

As many as nine events including Project Report, Aviation Quiz, Honours and Awards Quiz, Collage Making, will be held in three categories – individual, team and group categories.

Giving the details of the events, AeSI, Bengaluru honorary secretary Mueen Ahamadulla Khan P. told presspersons here on Wednesday, these teams have been selected on the basis of 40-page report submitted by them on the topic ‘Eyes and Arms in the Sky: UAVs’. As many as 72 boys and girls will compete for 40 prizes. The winners in the event will be given free entry to the Aero India-2015 show scheduled to be held in February 2015.
